Chapter 4 Writing skils: Ethical Behaviour

In my opinion, the clerk would atleast get the $20 deducted from her salery by the manager because she might be accused for theft or even be punished for not being aware of the money that she had given back. If everyone was able to take advantage of this kind of situation no one would have ethical behaviour. It would be chaos and businesses would be losing alot of money keeping in mind how much they make a day, and how much change has accidentally been given back to a costumer. If i was in the costumers place, i would go back and give the clerk the extra money that had been given to me acidentally because i would feel sympathy towards the clerk and if i had taken the money i would feel unease. If i was in the manager's position, i would punish the clerk depending on the ethical code of practice for this business. Keeping in mind ethical behaviour towards the employees, i would deduct the $20 from the clerks salery but would very likely fire her, because mistakes are likely to happen in a business, but if she does it agian then i may consider it.
