Title: Engineer
Reports to: Chief engineer
Based at: Head Office- Westbay Doha, Qatar
Job purpose:
Responsible for whole projects including designing, monitoring and completing projects.
Responsibilities:
• Perform Civil engineering duties surrounding the following; public works, buildings, sub-divisions, drainage, traffic, road, airport, tunnel, bridge, water supply, sewage, and environmental systems.
• Prepare technical construction specifications.
• Manage construction document printing process.
• Manage project issues, budgets, and schedules.
• Meet with the general public and/or developers, landowners, and interest groups concerning zoning, subdivision projects, building projects, and engineering regulations, standards, or policies.
• Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Supervisory responsibilities for project teams
• Provide training for new staff
• Hours of work: 35 hours a week with a Friday and Saturday weekend
Person specification:
Essential:
• Masters in construction engineering.
• Minimum five years experience in the construction industry.
• Valid driving license.
• To be able to work in a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Good level of English.
Desirable:
• Previous experience in working in the Gulf.
• Able to speak Arabic.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
• Responds positively to change.
• Ability to make decisions independently

Employment Contract
Contract of Employment for Construction Engineer for Al Ameera group
• The number of hours to be worked: 35 hours a week over 5 days. From 8am till 4pm (including the lunch break).
• The designation of the job: Permanent full time job based in Doha, Qatar.
• Pay: Annual salary paid in a 12 monthly installment. Salary will be paid directly into the specified bank account. Basic monthly salary would be 25,000 Qatari Riyals. Overtime will be paid at 1 and a half times the basic hourly rate.
• Benefits: 4 weeks paid holiday including national holidays. Gratuity will be paid at 3 weeks pay per year of service. 10 working days paid sick leave. Maternity leave as per Qatari labor law. Company car will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed at the rate of 5 Qatari Riyals per mile.

• Notice: Employees must give a months notice if they are to resign.
